The Shifting of the Sands

The winds shift the sands in the desert,

the sea in slow motion.

The dunes do not choose the snaking patterns they sport,
nor the direction for which they’re bound.

Adrift in the vastness of a dry misunderstanding,
they live in the perfect beauty of accepting their fate as it presents itself.

These sand dunes were photographed in The Great Desert of Altar (aptly named) in Sonora, Mexico. Located near the shores of the Sea of Cortés and its particular hue of blue, they provide the sensations for an otherworldly experience.

Plumbing the Depths

Always thinking of new roads to travel, new heights to conquer, and new depths of an ocean to plunge into; only to run away from exploring one's own.

Deeply immersed in the blues and yet out of contact with the inner light. The further, higher or deeper one travels; the less one seems to know.

Even when submerged in one's own primordial soup, one shall struggle to aggregate the complex molecules of life; in spite of it being unequivocally shoaling and schooling about.

Just exemplifying again the wildly different landscapes that can be found in the region. Sadly the ever increasing reports violence in the zone has steered travellers away from these lands, specially for the first two. Sadder is that it is probably perfectly safe for anyone to go there; all there is is fear.
